The 5 step Move Me Happy Identity Framework

Purpose:

To help you stop chasing short-term goals (e.g. “I want to lose half a stone”) and instead become the kind of woman who naturally lives in alignment with her health, energy, and confidence values. This is about taking action, feeling aligned and how to become the best version of yourself.

You’ll need a notebook and a pen.

Traditional goals focus on what you want to achieve.

The Identity Framework focuses on who you want to become and then helps you build daily habits, thoughts, and behaviours that prove it.

This isn’t about striving, it’s about becoming and a feeling of alignment.

This helps you create a way of being that feels authentic, sustainable, and deeply self-respecting.

Values + Repeated Aligned Actions = Identity Shift

Step 1 - Who I’m becoming

This is about reframing change as identity based rather than outcome based.

Write down the following questions and answer them in your notebook….

  • What kind of woman do I want to be six months from now?

  • How do I want to feel in my body, energy, and mind day to day?

  • What would that version of me do, say, choose, or let go of? How would she behave?

You can bullet point or write in full sentences.

Step 2 - What matters most to me

Use this quiz to identify 5 personal values that act as your compass.

Examples:

  • Energy

  • Growth

  • Calm

  • Strength

  • Freedom

Now narrow down choose 3 of these. Write them down a few lines apart. These are your core values.

Ask yourself: “How can I show this value through my daily behaviours?” and create a few bullet points in your notebook

Some examples that might be relevant ….

  • Lift weights regularly

  • Schedule my training

  • Eat to fuel my training

  • Focus on decent recovery/ sleep

  • Leave work on time

  • Be healthy to play with my daughter

  • Not spend my weekends working

  • Focus on daily stress relief

  • Go to bed earlier earlier

  • Limit alcohol

  • Eat healthier

Step 3- Create Mantras

Now, turn those values into Identity Mantras - short affirmations that reinforce who you are, not what you’re doing.

Mantras are HUGE inside MMH. My clients have me in their heads with mantras like ‘We can do hard things’ and ‘Progress not perfection’.

Use the following sentence starters….

  • “I’m a woman who…”

  • “I’m someone who…”

  • “I’m the kind of person who…”

eg.

“I’m a woman who takes care of her health.”

“I’m someone who values her freedom

“I’m the kind of person who has good energy

These become your new inner dialogue and the story you are telling yourself, replacing any old, negative stories.

Step 4- Create Action Plan

Here your focus switches from the outcome to the process.

What are you actually going to do on a daily basis to demonstrate that you value what you value?

What will your behaviuors be?

This is about some ‘I will..’ statements… and making promises to yourself in your action plan.

For example if I valued health I might write down …

  • I will get outside for a walk every day

  • I will eat protein with every meal

  • I will be in a calorie defecit to lose body fat

And if i value energy I might say…

  • I will limit alcohol Mon- Thursday

  • I will go to bed earlier

  • I will exercise 5 days a week

This helps you create daily/ weekly actions that move you in the direction of your value based identity.

It’s helpful to think about what you perceive a person with those values would do on a daily basis.

For example, how would someone who values their family behave or someone who values their health behave? What kind of things would they do. THESE are the things YOU need to be doing to be feel back in alignment and feel like who you say you are.

Then you need to start to take action- imperfectly if necessary.

A Framework without action is just another plan.

5. TASK- Create a Feedback Loop

Reflection is key- whether through an accountability call or group or in a journal. This helps you create growth through awareness, not judgement. Schedule your reflection… I like to do this each evening, my clients do this every friday.

Ask yourself….

  • Did my actions match my values today/ this week?

  • What felt most ‘me’ this week?

  • What were my wins?

  • Where did I struggle to show up?

  • Where did I feel out of alignment, and what adjustments can I make?

And for extra spice… If Beth followed me around this week would she think i was the type of person I say I am?

In summary

Remember, you don’t “become” your future self overnight… you build her through consistent proof.

Every time you show up, you’re casting a vote for your new identity.

It’s a 2p in the bank for Future You, and this is where self-trust and self-respect are built - not through perfect days, but through repeated follow-through.

As this identity becomes your new normal, your actions start to take less effort.

There’ll be less friction- it will become who you are.

And you’re no longer chasing goals, you’re living as the woman you set out to become. From here, you evolve again -refining, expanding, and continuing to act in alignment with your deeper values.
